I’ve been really sick the last few weeks so I haven’t been able to blog or be on social media much. During that time I was wearing neons to brighten up my days when I couldn’t get out of bed. The recently released Celestial Cosmetics The Electric You collection was perfect for this time.

I wore Celestial Cosmetics Trip for over a week and I love it. Holos are notoriously short wearing on me but this one lasted for over a week. I put two coats of Trip with one coat of hk girl top coat and on the second day another coat of Trip and top coat. This will normally only get me a couple of days with a holo so I was so happy with the longevity of this one. The colour is unique so not everyone will like it but I think it is so pretty.

After Trip I decided to try another from that collection called Singularity. This one was released at a lower price as some pigment clumped but I didn’t have any issues with that. To cheer me up more, I used Born Pretty Store decals over Celestial Cosmetics Snow Clouds. Snow Clouds applied well but took three coats to even out. Singularity didn’t last like Trip did but I can deal with quick tip wear if the colour is pretty.
The decals were easy to use and I love the outcome. I couldn’t stop looking at my nails. There are so many decal options to choose from at Born Pretty Store so everyone should find something they like. You can get 10% off if you use my code ALAX31 at checkout.

Celestial Cosmetics The Electric You collection
The Electric You collection is very limited so get in quickly if you want them. Both Celestial Cosmetics and Color4Nails are stocking them. Some of them need a white undercoat to be opaque and have the neon feel. I would have liked them better if they were scattered holo rather than linear but they’re neon so I love them anyway.

Miss Ashleigh Tickled Pink in natural light
Before the other two manis, I was wearing Miss Ashleigh Tickled Pink. Tickled Pink is a neon pink polish with scattered holographic pigment that sparkles in sunlight. The accent nail was done using Miss Ashleigh Tickled Pink, And It Was All Yellow and Like a Sunrise. I used a Love Angeline nail stencil but I didn’t do a good job so I class this as a nail fail. All three Miss Ashleigh polishes were great quality, easy to apply and opaque in two coats.

I hope my health is on the up from here so that I can post more regularly. What colours do you like when you’re down?
